Ultra Europe

Ultra EuropeUltra Europe is a multi-venue outdoor electronic music festival that is a part of Ultra Music Festival’s worldwide expansion. Ultra Europe made its debut as a two-day festival during 12–13 July 2013 and took place in Split, Croatia, with an additional Ultra Beach party in Hvar Island, Croatia on 14 July 2013. In 2015, the festival became a part of Destination Ultra which now lasts seven days across Croatia and includes an opening party, the three-day festival, yacht regatta, Ultra Beach, and a closing party.

Split Summer Festival

Split Summer Festival (Splitsko ljeto) established in 1954, the second oldest festival of performing arts in the country (after the Dubrovnik Summer Festival). The festival is usually held over a 30-day period between mid-July and mid-August and includes a great number of various events like open-air jazz and classical concerts, art exhibitions, theatre plays staged in public squares and modern dance performances. Parts of the program are usually held at historic venues such as the Diocletian’s Palace.

Mediterranean film festival

During the month of June Split has been hosting the Mediterranean Film Festival for the past 6 years. The festival presents a showcase of recent films from the Mediterranean area premiering in Croatia or the region, and cannot be seen in the regular cinema distribution. Festival has, so far, proved to be one of Split’s most important cultural events.

Split Film Festival

Split film festival has been taking place in September every year for the past 19 years. It is an international festival of new film, one of the oldest in Croatia showing chosen films, videos, interactive media, installations, performances, workshops, discussions and much more.
